The virtual AI ambassador for the new Peugeot 2008 has received international recognition for its innovation in combining advanced artificial intelligence with modern marketing approaches. The project won the prestigious global Peugeot Awards 2024 for its pioneering use of AI in marketing and was shortlisted in two categories – Automotive and AI in Communication – for the European Excellence Awards 2024, which honor excellence in communication and marketing.
International Achievement Award at the Peugeot Awards 2024
On a global level, the Virtual AI Ambassador project for the new Peugeot 2008 won the Peugeot Awards 2024 in the Disruptive Practices category. Competing among 140 Peugeot subsidiaries worldwide, the project stood out for its innovative approach to improving customer experience, pre-sales processes and marketing. The recognition confirms that Slovenian expertise in AI is on par with global standards.
Breaking out as a finalist in the prestigious European Excellence Awards 2024
The project was also nominated for the European Excellence Awards 2024, one of Europe’s most prestigious awards in communication and marketing. The project was recognised by an international audience of experts as an outstanding achievement in two categories. It ranked among the top three in the Automotive category and the top five in AI in Communication. The project was also showcased at the closing event on 6 December in Berlin, where it was highlighted as a leading solutions in the automotive industry and the use of AI in marketing.
Virtual AI-Ambassador is the result of Slovenian expertise and interdisciplinary cooperation
The project for the new Peugeot 2008 was the result of a collaboration between the teams of Retoba laboratory and Peugeot Slovenia. The project was led by Simon Cetin, Head of Retoba and founder and partner of iPROM, and Gregor Draksler, Advertising and Marketing Director at Emil Frey Group and Marketing Director at Peugeot Slovenia.
